Description
Vintage American stoneware or redware pitcher with a dark Rockingham-type glaze (sometimes called "treacle glaze" or "mirror black"). This style of pottery was produced by many American potteries in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The high contrast between the dark glaze and the reddish clay showing through at wear points is characteristic of this type of pottery. IT HAS A PATTERN NUMBER OF 331. MEASURES 7.5"H.
