Description
The front of each bill features a portrait in the center and a distinctive red seal on the left side. Each bill has a unique serial number beginning with 'D': - D29907311 A - D67495932 A - D85918202 A The backs of the bills show Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's historic home in Virginia, rendered in green ink. The image shows the iconic neoclassical architecture with its distinctive dome and columned portico. These appear to be United States Legal Tender Notes (also known as Red Seal notes) from 1928, which is indicated by the red Treasury seal and the series year printed on the bills. The bills appear with some visible wear and creasing, but they're still quite legible and intact. These $2 bills are interesting from a collecting perspective, as the 1928 series with the red seal represents a specific period in U.S. currency history.
