EASTON RESIDENT LIFETIME COIN COLLECTION AUCTION
Description
A collection of Washington quarter dollars from various years in the 1940s through 1960s. These are 90% silver quarters that were minted before 1965, when the U.S. moved to copper-nickel clad composition for quarters. Includes coins from years including 1941, 1943, 1944, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1956, 1957, 1960, 1961, 1962, and 1963.
The coins appear to be in circulated condition, showing typical wear from use but still with clear details visible. The obverse (front) features the classic profile portrait design while the reverse shows the eagle design that was used on Washington quarters during this period. Each coin has the "LIBERTY" text along the top and "IN GOD WE TRUST" motto.
These quarters have both numismatic value as collectible coins and inherent value due to their silver content. All Washington quarters minted from 1932 through 1964 contain 90% silver and 10% copper, giving them significant precious metal value beyond their face value of 25 cents.
